Manly Mondays

Time just got away from me yesterday and I didn't get much of a chance to spend it at my computer. Admittedly I've lost some mojo when it comes to making masculine cards.  This card is actually the 50th since I started doing Manly Mondays last year.  Maybe it's time to move on to something else.... While I ponder on that here's the card and details.

Started with a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the French Script Background with Cherry Cobbler.  Using the Big Shot I cut two different size square Nesties in Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. On the Very Vanilla I stamped the rooster from Rustic Rooster with Early Espresso. I loved this set when it first came out and sadly this is the first time I've used it.  With a dauber I edged both squares with Cherry Cobbler and mounted those with square mounts to give some height.  The craft feathers from a $ store where daub with Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  I cut those down a bit which in hindsight was probably not a very good idea.  Now I have tiny little feathers all over my craft table.  Should be interesting to see if some appear on the next project.

WHAT'S UP WITH FRANKII

Frankii seems to have moved on from searching for that squirrel.  Mind you we haven't heard or spotted it in quite some time.  Now, he's waiting for the bunnies to appear which happens on a daily basis.  Two of them hop along our drive mid morning.

As soon as they appear you know it. The dining room table is a few feet away from the picture above and round and round he goes singing his "let me out, let me out" song to get at them. He spends so much time at the window I've worn the paint off the trim cleaning his face prints on the sill.

He still looks dashing with his new look.  Look how curly the end of his tail is. It's makes me giggle everytime. Especially when his tail is going a mile a minute.  Frankii has been very kind and gentle with Dollie's new sister Lucy.  Apparently his taken it upon himself at daycare to show her the ropes.  That's My Boy!

A La Prochaine!

Hi Julie, I really like that card. Easy & decorative. Frankii is such a ham, I did not know Dollie got a sister. He could end up starting a war over 2 women.

Great card Julie. It is perfect as a men's card. Frankii sounds like he is enjoying his new mentoring program at day care.... such a little gentleman. Keep up the great work and good luck with your new job.
