LNS Challenge #13

This week's challenge at the LateNightStampers Yahoo Group was Birds of a Feather. This was my entry. I thought it would be appropriate to take a picture in front of Florence, my hen. We moved to an acreage about a year and a half ago and I have been teasing my husband since that we should get chickens, for fresh eggs every morning and a donkey to keep the coyotes away. Florence was the closest thing I could find, without having to shelter, feed, and clean up after. Still working on getting that donkey :)

I started with a piece of Baja Breeze, layered it with a piece from the Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper. Then I inked up the bird stamp from Love You Much with a Night of Navy marker. I had this brilliant idea that an Aqua Painter would work to color in the birds and not make it so dark. Wrong!! The paper bubbled and bled. So, I stamped the birds on some of the Sahara Sand color from Parisian Breeze, cut those out and popped them up on dimensionals. Then I stamped the sentiment from Best Wishes & More using the Night of Navy Classic Ink Stamp Pad. Added the branches from the Decorative Strip Birds and Branches using a 2-Way Glue Pen and my card was done. Enjoy! Please leave a comment. I love to hear what you think.
