It looks like we are in for a sunny long weekend. At last!! We have had so much rain we were beginning to wonder if it would ever stop and needed to build an Ark. Maybe now we can tend to our ever growing weed gardens which are not welcomed.
Brown Sugar has been tumbling around in my head for awhile so I decided to give it a go with this week's card. I began by stamping a doily from the set Delicate Doilies with Brown Sugar on Very Vanilla.
Then I die cut a label from Decorative Labels Eight and completely covered it with Gold Embossing Powder about 3 times. I let this piece dry overnight. Before I applied it to the Very Vanilla I bent it a little here and there to give it a "cracked and vintage" look. With adding so much embossing powder it comes out quite thick. The flower is from Flowering Flourishes which was once again stamped with Brown Sugar and die cut with a smaller die from Decorative Labels Eight and called it done.

Wow!!! Julie I think this is my very favorite card that you have designed this year... you really can see the detail of the heat embossing and love the brown sugar on the card stock. It is just such an elegant card. You have outdone yourself again my friend.
Fabulous card!!!
Julie, that label with three layers of EP looks like a metal sheet--gorgeous! I'll try to do something almost as great with EP this week but, as you have probably noticed, I don't use the stuff too often. ;-) I'm up for the mission, though!
