Freestyle Fridays

I'm writing this post with a major amount of egg on my face.  I somehow completely missed posting Regina's completed Black and White mission from the week before.  I could not apologize enough to Regina when I found out yesterday.  I must apologize one more time: Regina, I'm so very sorry

Here is her card in its entirety.

Be sure to check out her post on this fabulous creation here. And it's not too late for you to leave her a comment.

---------------------------------------------------------------

My manager is off to have a baby soon.  Not knowing the sex the colors on the card below were chosen to keep it neutral while giving it a sense of Co-ed if you will.  This lady is not a fan of pink so it was definitely not an available choice.

Over 20 people will  be signing this card so it needs to be big.  The base is Whisper White with a layer of Early Espresso.  The designer paper is from a box by CK that I've had kicking around for quite some time.  Enough with the hoarding, time to use it.  The yellow is a long ago retired In Color, Marigold Morning.  The carriage from Buggies and Booties was embossed with Copper.  The French Script background was inked with Early Espresso that was first blotted with a scrap of photocopy paper since I didn't want the background to over shadow the carriage.  The flower trim ribbon was adhered with sticky strip.  This is the first time I've used it and I must say I like it.

********REGINA'S MISSION********

Your mission this week, should you choose to accept it, is to use Yellow.  Your choice of hue and type of project.  Just use yellow, current or otherwise.

Have a look at Regina's blog here.  She's been a busy girl again this week and has some fabulous ideas for you.

See Ya Next Week!

Julie, your card is spectacular, and that row of floral trim was an unexpected surprise--perfect!!! It wasn't necessary for you to apologize profusely for not getting my card posted last week because I know that you have been a busy, busy lady. Just keep creating and coming up with fun missions for me!

Julie this is one of my favorites ... it is just timeless in style and I love the colours that you have chosen to create it with. The floral embellishment across the bottom is such a lovely finish to this creation. I know if I were receiving this card that it would be a keeper.... for years. Keep up the great work.
