Freestyle Fridays

It's Friiiiday!!!!  Could it be that Spring is finally deciding to make an appearance around here.  Although the wind was a little strong today we managed to hit 20c (Regina, that's 68f for you).  Amazing considering the snow was still flying on Tuesday.  Gotta love this part of the country.

I'm anxious for my flowers to start blooming.  Frankii Dog (Dog is his last name) and I took a walk around the house today to hopefully find some green coming out of all the brown in the flower beds.  And lo and behold we did.  It felt like striking gold and Frankii, well, he was on the sent of squirrel.

This week's card was inspired by the hopes of a new season to finally arrive and a gift bag that I saw recently in a dollar store.  What did we do before camera phones???

I used a lot of stuff to make this card.  The colors are Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, White and Black.  I started with the Texture wheel in Basic Gray ink, added the colors to a layer of Black and ran that through the Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  Stamp sets used were Vintage Verses and Serene Silhouettes.  The Just Because was stamped with Basic Gray and added 3 Rhinestones for added bling.  This was adhered with dimensionals to add a bit of "pop" to it.  I hope you like it.

********REGINA'S MISSION********

You will need 3 colors for completing your mission this week Regina.  They are, yup, you guessed it, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray and Bashful.  You can use white and/or black if you so wish.

Have a great week.

Awesome layout, Julie, and I love the Chevron embossed panels, and the color combo! Glad you're enjoying some warmer temps and the promise of soon-to-be-bursting-forth flowers!

Hi Julie! This card is just so pretty. I love the embossed Chevron design and the use of three different colours... it all co-ordinates really well. I also love the stamp that you chose for this card. Way to go girl.... now enjoy the warmer weather and give Frankii a huge hug for me

Great card, Julie! So many things all in one place. Ü We're going to be in the 80ºs for a few days. And yes, it is fun to see the green coming up. Chloe says hi to Frankii. Ü
Hugs, Pen
