Freestyle Fridays - Masculine Birthday

It was my boss's birthday earlier this week which called for a masculine card.

He wears quite a bit of blue so I went with that.  Started with a Baja Breeze base, stamped that with a really old background stamp, Happy Birthday Greetings, in Midnight Muse.  I'm still not sure if I like these "new and improved" ink pads.  Did the pinwheel with Baja Breeze DSP.  The die is from My Favorite Things and must be ran twice through the Big Shot to get the necessary "wheels" .  Go here for a really great tutorial on how to put it together.  A glue gun, a lollipop stick and a brad was all I used for this one.  Now to figure out how to make them so that they twirl would be awesome.

******REGINA'S MISSION********

Regina, this week your mission is to use one color of various hues.  For example if you were to use green it could be Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Lucky Limeade.... You can throw in one neutral color for effect.   Regina has a fabulous Valentine project posted on her blog so make sure you drop by for a look.

See You Next Week!

Love, love, love your card, Julie!!!! If you were hoping to impress your boss, I feel certain that you did! That's a big pinwheel, and what a FUN card to hand-deliver! I ordered so many of SU's padded envelopes (from the clearance rack) that I should be able to fill with cards like this before all the envys are used up. When the order arrived, I wondered WHY I ordered so many. Well, this has turned into a letter and not just a comment . . . great job, girl!!!!!
