Freestyle Fridays

This week marked another year older for my beloved Evan.  In his honor this card was designed.

It started by discovering some rather old DSP at the bottom of the scrap bin.  I barely recall it let alone the name of it. It seem to fit well with River Rock cardstock.  Took the Ticket Corner Punch to all the corners.  Layered the dark brown DSP with Very Vanilla.  The sentiment is from a hostess set (when they use to mean something) with purple rubber.  The other stamping is from Little Pieces that matched perfectly with the paper.  These were stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. When folded the card measures 4 x 9 1/4, perfect for a letter size envelope.

********REGINA'S MISSION********

This week, dear friend, your mission is to go to the bottom of the scrap bin and pick something out to do something with.  What are you saving it for anyways???  NO cheating, it has to be from the bottom.

PS: Jacoline and I have booked our flight to Utah.  We're gonna need your best face shot so we can put it on a stick and take you with us wherever we go.  Stop laughing, this is serious business.

Freestyle Fridays

It's Regina's turn this week and she sure has made good use of it.  I can't tell you enough how often my jaw drops when I see one of her creations.  Especially when she completes a mission that I give her so little to go one.  This week is not exception.  It was to do the Chalkboard technique and not use black.

The details that she has added to this week's care are phenomenal.  Make sure you go to her blog post here and read her thought process on this one.  And please, leave her a generous comment.

Freestyle Fridays - Love is in the Air

There are so many cards out there lately with the chalkboard technique.  I wanted to give it try will doing something different so I incorporated the technique with a Valentine theme and went with red.  Although I did not use a lot of white applications I think it still qualifies.

All of the stamping was done with Versamark and White embossing powder.  Two hearts were punched out of Shimmery White cardstock and adhered with dimensionals.  The arrow in the top heart was hand drawn with a white Crayola.  White Craft ink surrounds the Real Red layer using the direct to paper method.  All that was layered on Crumb Cake. Pretty simple really but I love the way it turned out.  Stamp sets used were Bella Toile, Well Scripted and Love you Much.

********REGINA'S MISSION********

Your mission this week Regina is to do the Chalkboard Technique on any color other than black.  What you'll probably find most challenging is choosing the color.  Make sure you drop by Regina's blog, she made herself a new banner.

Freestyle Fridays - Regina's CASE

Regina was super inspired with her mission last week.  She had it done in no time.  You all had to wait until today for it's unveil.

Regina's blog post here will give you all the details and the inspiration she had to create this little gem.  Did she use Washi tape or designer paper? Make sure you head on over there to find out and leave her a comment on how inspired you were by this creation.
